Welcome to Friends of L.A. Animal Shelters. We are a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit formed exclusively to help increase adoptions and raise the live save rate at L.A.’s city animal shelters.

In Jan. 2012, we opened L.A. Love & Leashes, the first pet store that is 100% dedicated to helping companion animals at our city’s six animal shelters.
